Dear Molly Stark Community,
It was great to see our learners and staff after the Winter Break and wish everyone a Happy 2022 New Year!
A reminder about our arrival procedures at Molly Stark Elementary School.
- Drop Off after 8:25 am. This is a late drop-off and learners will be marked Tardy. Parents/Guardians need to park their vehicle and walk their child into the front foyer and check in with Mrs. Tara Bryant our new front office staff. The parent/guardian will be asked why you are late. Please follow this safe procedure.
Attendance & Tardy Information from Student/Parent Handbook:
Absences- School attendance is critical for successful school performance, and the intent of the SVSU Attendance Policy is to ensure that all students are in school and learning. Please review the SVSU Attendance Policy #5030 and the accepted definitions of absences provided. School attendance is critical for successful school performance, and the intent of the SVSU Attendance Policy is to ensure that all students arrive on time to school and are in school and learning. To verify and record daily attendance we request that parents phone the school to report that a child will be absent. This communication is important in maintaining the safety of each child. Please notify the school of absences between 7:30-8:25 AM.
Tardiness- Promptness to school is a significant factor of successful school performance, and the intent of the SVSU Attendance Policy is to ensure that all students arrive on time to school. Students are expected to arrive at school no later than 8:25 A.M. Those students arriving after 8:25 A.M. must sign in electronically with their parent/guardian. Frequent tardiness affects your child’s academic performance and is disruptive to the learning environment.

Updated Guidance Covid-19- from Nurse Senecal
Dear Parents,
Please know that all future notifications of a school COVID-19 exposure to your learner will occur via email only now.
Check your email at least every morning before sending your learner to school. If your learner arrives at school as a close contact, they will need to be sent home immediately. Ensure to read the "close contact" return to school, school district guidance, and base it on your learner's situation - fully vaccinated or not, have had COVID in the past few months, etc... This can be found on the School District Webpage. Once the web page is opened, click on "Read Full Story".
Also, the email notifications will likely come from me or another contact tracing nurse, Kathleen Lacasse.
If the email is not from me then don't just hit reply to respond - email me directly with your questions or to send test results, ([email protected]).
In addition, please let Eli Phillips, our office manager know if your email has changed or provide him with an email if we don't have one for you already.
Thank you,
Julie Senecal RN BSN MEd

Thank you,
